Job summary

Encore Global is seeking a Power Distribution Technician to manage electrical set and strikes for events at hotel and convention centers in the Tampa area. Responsibilities include planning load-in/out, coordinating with Exhibit Coordinators and AV teams, and ensuring reliable power for sessions and productions.

The role requires 1+ year(s) with power distribution equipment, 2+ years in AV or hospitality, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required.
2+ years customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
2+ years AV experience preferred.
1+ years working with Power Distribution Equipment.
A valid driver’s license is required for team members in positions that may operate Company Vehicle.

Responsibilities

Review, create and execute Exhibitor Order Forms, electrical and exhibitor booth diagrams/blueprints; determine labor and material needs for events.
Create and execute show load-in/load-out plans for both Trade Shows and Production Companies.
Timely and accurate setup, operation, and breakdown of required electrical power for sessions, labs, meals, entertainment, exhibitors and decorators.
Build custom cables and assist in fabrication of electrical components as needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve power issues.
Cross-train AV Technicians in power distribution.
Provide excellent service and communicate effectively with clients.
Meet with guests on site to ensure the electrical setup is working properly.
