Job summary

Delta Electronics Americas in Fremont, CA seeks an experienced Field Application Engineer for high-power datacenter products to translate customer requirements into actionable R&D plans and bridge Delta internal R&D with external clients.

You will ensure projects meet schedule, scope, and quality targets while maintaining strong technical dialogue and cost-aware design practices across R&D, testing, and business teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in datacenter power solutions including MW-level UPS, busways, CDU, STS.
• Ability to read floor plans and SLD drawings.
• Ability to convert floor plans into bill-of-material and perform basic cost analysis.
• Excellent customer communication and ability to capture core demands.
• Strong project planning and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Customer In-depth Technical Communication: Actively engage in technical exchanges with customers and provide professional consultation.
• Bridge Connection Between R&D and Customers: Convert customer requirements into clear product requirements and deliver to internal teams.
• Project Progress Control & Delivery Guarantee: Manage project progress and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
• Product Technical Iteration & Demand Management: Evaluate feedback and drive iterative improvements.
• Cross-team Coordination & Risk Management: Coordinate resources across departments and manage risks.
• Technical Document Sorting: Maintain customer requirement and technical documents and archives.
