Job summary

Kforce is seeking a licensed Power & Control Systems Engineer to lead the design and development of electrical, instrumentation, and controls (EI&C) systems for industrial and infrastructure projects in Phoenix, AZ. Hybrid or fully remote considered in target markets.

This role partners with project managers, engineers, designers, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, from design through construction support and commissioning.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree required.
• Active P.E. license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Lead EI&C design for industrial/infrastructure projects.
• Perform power system studies (short circuit, arc flash, coordination, load flow, motor starting).
• Develop P&IDs, control narratives, logic and wiring diagrams, I/O lists, instrument indexes, cable schedules.
• Design PLC/HMI architectures and industrial networks.
• Specify electrical equipment, instrumentation, control panels and valves.
• Apply NEC, NFPA, IEEE, ISA, UL standards.
• Provide Engineer of Record oversight and QA/QC reviews.
