Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Power BI and Microsoft Fabric Architect to lead enterprise-level analytics initiatives focused on supply chain data modeling. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Snowflake, star schema modeling, and building scalable, performant data models and dashboards using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement robust end-to-end data models for complex supply chain use cases using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
- Build semantic layers and star schemas to enable intuitive and high-performance analytics.
- Snowflake schema or Star Schema, other cloud/on-prem data sources, and Microsoft Fabric Lakehouses.
- Design and manage scalable data pipelines, dataflows, and Fabric Lakehouse tables for structured and semi-structured data.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and data engineering teams to define KPIs, dimensions, and fact tables for supply chain analytics.
- Develop optimized Power BI reports, dashboards, and paginated reports that deliver actionable business insights.
- Define and enforce best practices for data modeling, governance, security (Row-Level Security), and performance tuning.
- Provide architectural leadership and mentorship to Power BI developers and data analysts.
Required Skills And Experience
- 10+ years of experience in data analytics and BI architecture roles.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Power BI including DAX, Power Query, and data visualization techniques.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric components (Lakehouse, Data Factory, Synapse, Pipelines).
- Strong background in Snowflake schema or Star Schema—data architecture, performance tuning, and integration with analytics tools.
- Expert in star schema design, dimensional modeling, and supply chain domain knowledge (inventory, procurement, demand planning, logistics, etc.).
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets and distributed systems.
- Experience implementing data security models, including RLS and data masking in BI tools.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications (Power BI, Azure Data Engineer, or Fabric Architect).
- Experience with additional tools such as Azure Synapse, Databricks, or dbt.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps for data/BI workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
