Job summary
Federal Signal Corporation in Downers Grove, IL seeks an experienced BI/Analytics leader to drive Power BI strategy, governance, and enterprise reporting. You will lead a blended team of internal staff and external partners, partnering with Finance, Operations, and IT to enable scalable, data-driven decisions.
The role requires 10+ years in BI/IT, 2+ years of leadership, and expertise in Power BI and JD Edwards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline required
- MBA in a related discipline preferred
- Professional certification in Power BI, ERP tech or data management desired
- 10+ years progressive experience in enterprise systems, data management, BI, or IT required
- 2+ years leadership experience managing teams, projects, vendors, and initiatives required
- Experience supporting enterprise business functions required
- Experience designing or supporting Power BI; JD Edwards experience preferred
- Experience managing enterprise data platforms, reporting architectures and data integration
- Experience working with senior leaders to translate requirements into scalable solutions
- Experience leading enterprise reporting, analytics or data governance programs preferred
- Experience with disaster recovery or business continuity preferred
- Experience managing consulting partners and external service providers
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a blended team of internal staff and external contractors, prioritize work, allocate resources, and promote knowledge transfer
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for Power BI reporting, dashboards, security, data refresh, deployment, and governance
- Own reporting applications such as Power BI, Cetova, Spreadsheet Server and related tools to meet business requirements
- Establish standards for report development, data definitions, access, security, testing, and lifecycle management
- Partner with ERP and IT teams to ensure governed access to enterprise data and reliable reporting platforms
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, Sales, and Supply Chain to translate requirements into solutions
- Prioritize dashboards, reports, data sources, and integrations based on business value and resources
- Monitor platform performance and data refresh processes; coordinate cross-team troubleshooting
- Establish support and escalation processes for reporting platforms and governance
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and modernize the application portfolio
- Oversee vendor and contract management, deliverables, and knowledge transfer
- Ensure security, access control, change-management, and documentation standards
