Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Power BI Engineer/Developer for a large Sporting Goods wholesaling firm. You design, build, and maintain dashboards, paginated reports, and BI structures to enable data-driven decisions while ensuring data quality and security.

You will transform data into actionable insights, develop semantic models with Power Query and Azure Analysis Services, and collaborate with stakeholders to define objectives and deliver timely reporting.”

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Power BI development experience.
• 2+ years of data analytics development experience.
• 1+ year of Paginated Report Builder or SSRS experience.
• Proficiency in SQL Server and RDBMS technologies (SSIS, SSAS, MDX).
• Advanced SQL query writing abilities (functions and procedures).
• Advanced DAX and M expressions.
• Experience with Agile project deliveries and tight timelines.
• Experience with data visualization standards and information design.
• Experience with Power BI tenant administration and API endpoints.
• Fabric migration/deployments; Azure cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain dashboards, paginated reports, and BI structures for data analysis and reporting.
• Develop semantic models using Power Query and Azure Analysis Services.
• Build and maintain SQL queries and procedures for Data Estate and reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data objectives and prototype models and visuals.
• Perform security audits of self-service reporting and ensure data governance.
