Qualifications

• 3+ years of Power BI development experience.
• 2+ years of data analytics development experience.
• 1+ year of Paginated Report Builder or SSRS experience.
• Proficiency in SQL Server and RDBMS technologies (SSIS, SSAS, MDX).
• Advanced SQL query writing abilities (functions and procedures).
• Advanced DAX and M expressions.
• Experience with Agile project deliveries and tight timelines.
• Experience with data visualization standards and information design.
• Experience with Power BI tenant administration and API endpoints.
• Fabric migration/deployments; Azure cloud services.

Responsibilities

A large and growing Sporting Goods Wholesaling company is seeking a seeking a highly skilled Power BI Engineer/Developer to join their team! You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the dashboards, paginated reports, and other Business Intelligence structures for data analysis and reporting. Candidates must excel at transforming tabular datasets into actionable reporting insights while ensuring data quality and security and collaborating with various teams to support data-driven decision-making. Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Business intelligence design and development
• Semantic model development using Power Query and Azure Analysis Services
• Building and maintaining SQL queries and procedures for Data Estate, ensuring accurate data quality and consistent reporting analysis
• Work closely with business stakeholders to identify functional data objectives for each project, then prototype the data model and visual content requirements best suited to achieve those objectives
• administration, and perform security audits of self-service reporting

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of Power BI development experience

2+ years of development experience in data analytics

1+ year of Paginated Report Builder or SSRS experience

Proficiency in SQL Server and RDBMS technologies, including SSIS, SSAS, MDX, etc.

Advanced SQL query writing abilities, including functions and procedures

Advanced DAX and M expression writing abilities

Experience with Agile project deliveries and delivering to tight timescales

Experience with information design principles and data visualization standards

Well versed in consuming large enterprise datasets Power BI tenant administration, including Power BI API endpoints

Fabric migration/deployments

Microsoft Azure cloud services (Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic App, etc.)

Experience with software governance development, policies, and procedures

Experience creating and executing PowerShell scripts

Programming experience with Python

Client-facing communication experience
