Job Title: Power BI Engineer

Location: Remote, West Coast (AZ, CA, NM). Must be willing to travel to Burbank, CA company HQ 1x/month.

Type: Permanent

Pay Rate: $104,000

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Power BI Engineer to design and develop advanced data visualizations, manage ETL pipelines, and deliver impactful analytical insights to improve healthcare outcomes. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration, transformation, and optimization for actionable reporting and performance efficiency in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, design, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to deliver actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and create effective visualizations.
  • Connect to multiple data sources, import, transform, and optimize data for reporting and performance efficiency.
  • Implement advanced data models and measures using DAX to enhance analytical capabilities.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy and integrity in all reports and dashboards.
  • Document Power BI solutions, including data models, workflows, and usage instructions for ongoing reference and improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Power BI reports and data models while staying updated on the latest Power BI features and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Strong understanding of Power BI architecture, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare and experience drawing business insights from healthcare data.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation to query and transform data from various sources.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and relational databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to understand complex business requirements and deliver solutions that meet those needs.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cloud data platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Background in software engineering principles or experience working in an Agile environment.
