Plan A Technologies is looking for an outstanding Power BI Engineer, with experience in collaborating with business units to gather requirements, transforming data into actionable insights, and working with the Quality team to ensure requirements are achieved. This is a fast-paced job with room for significant career growth.

Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of experience as a Power BI Engineer to be considered for this role.

Job Responsibilities

The Power BI Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Microsoft Power BI solutions. This role involves collaborating with business units to gather requirements, transforming data into actionable insights, and working with the Quality team to ensure requirements are met.

• Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting and data analysis needs and translate them into Power BI solutions.
• Design and develop data models and transformations to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Perform data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and work with the data team to resolve them.
• Ensure scalability and performance of Power BI solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Power BI solutions to resolve issues promptly.
• Document technical specifications, data mappings, and solution designs.
• Partner with data engineers to develop data definitions, lineage, and cataloging using best practices.

Experience

• 5-10 years of proven work experience with Power BI development.
• Expertise in Power BI Premium platform, including workspaces, deployment pipelines, dataset creation, and maintenance; data hub exploration, Power BI Desktop, and Report Builder tools.
• Experience in developing complex Power BI solutions.
• Proficiency with ALM Toolkit, Visual Studio, or Tabular Editor.
• Strong understanding of DAX Studio and Power Query.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and its integration with Power BI.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, Python, and DBT is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Organized, analytical, with the ability to plan and execute work independently.
• Initiative and drive to excel.
