Job summary

MBG Marketing in Grand Junction, MI is seeking a Business Systems & Reporting Analyst to support its business applications and develop reliable Power BI reports. You will combine Power BI report development, SQL querying, and data validation with application troubleshooting, user support, testing, documentation, and training.

The role covers Grower Portal, warehouse management, packinghouse systems, and third‑party applications such as Business Central, Aptean, and Agrian.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, computer science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on Power BI report development including Power Query and DAX and understanding of table relationships.
• Working SQL skills: joins, filtering, grouping, aggregates; reconcile report totals to source data.
• Troubleshoot application and reporting issues; document findings and resolve.
• Learn business processes and translate user needs into practical reports and improvements.
• Strong communication and customer service orientation; manage competing requests.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams) including formulas, PivotTables.
• Ability to collaborate with business users, technical staff, and vendors while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Power BI reports and dashboards using approved data sources and semantic models.
• Write and troubleshoot SQL queries to retrieve business data and validate results.
• Collaborate with business users to document requirements and calculations for accurate reporting.
• Provide functional support for MBG’s internal applications and third‑party systems.
• Log, prioritize, and track support requests through resolution; coordinate escalations as needed.
• Provide onboarding training and create user guides and knowledge base articles.
• Support changes and releases through testing and rollout activities; prepare user communications.
• Document business requirements and identify opportunities to automate and improve processes.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 tools and identify opportunities to simplify manual processes.
• Maintain project tasks, milestones, and status updates; communicate risks.
• Complete other duties/projects as assigned.
