Oerlikon in Westbury, NY is seeking an R&D Technician to support powder processing for the R&D organization under guidance from senior staff. You will execute lab work requests, manufacture powders to specifications, and report results.

The role emphasizes equipment maintenance, safety, and accurate documentation while collaborating with Process Specialists and Lab Technicians to advance projects.

Formación

• Technical Certificate with 2+ years of lab experience preferred.
• Understanding of lab operations for milling, spray dry, sizing/screening, sinter and powder spheroidization.

Responsabilidades

• Support R&D Project Engineers in preparation and processing of powders.
• Manufacture powders based on requirements and test plans.
• Carry out analytical tests of powder characterization and report findings.
• Maintain process equipment and ensure safety regulations are followed.
• Assist in laboratory equipment setup and techniques.
• Execute work packages in support of Materials R&D under guidance.
• Operate lab equipment to manufacture powders to engineering specs and perform quality checks.
• Maintain detailed laboratory records and reports.
