Job summary

Magna International in Liberty, MO is seeking an Industrial Paint Process Technician to support automated powder coat lines, pretreatment, and wastewater systems. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize equipment while ensuring environmental and safety compliance.

Ideal candidates have an Associate’s degree in a technical field and experience with industrial equipment, paint systems, or manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Associate's Degree in Skilled Trades, Industrial Technology, Maintenance, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred.
Experience with industrial mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems preferred.
Experience with paint systems, powder coating, pretreatment, wastewater treatment, or industrial process equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and maintain automated powder coating equipment, pumps, valves, conveyors, and spray systems.
Support paint line operations, pretreatment systems, and wastewater treatment processes.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process-related equipment issues.
Monitor chemical concentrations, pH levels, conductivity, and process performance.
Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
Work with robotics, automated systems, and industrial process equipment.
Maintain paint and chemical inventories.
Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve quality, reliability, and production efficiency.
Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards.
