Job summary

Life Fitness / Hammer Strength in Owatonna, MN is seeking a Powder Coating Operator on the 1st shift to prepare, coat, and inspect parts, contributing to the quality our customers expect.

The role features a four-day workweek (Mon-Thu, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM), overtime opportunities, and an on-site fitness center, plus a comprehensive benefits package including a 401(k) with match, medical/dental/vision, PTO, life and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous production environment experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow safety procedures and work instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for powder coating as part of a team.
• Mask, load, unload, buff, and remove weld-spatter as needed.
• Inspect painted parts for quality and consistency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Total Rewards & Pay-

Full-time team members are eligible for:

• Base pay: $19.00-$22.13 per hour, based on qualifications and experience

What You'll Do

• Work as part of a team to prepare parts for powder coating
• Perform masking, loading, unloading, buffing, and weld-spatter removal
• Inspect painted parts for quality
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Work near moving equipment
• Frequently lift up to 35 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
• Reaching and repetitive motion
• Noisy environment; ear protection required

Your base wage will be between $19.00 - $22.13 per hour and includes eligibility for overtime. The actual wage offer will be based on qualifications, experience, location, and other relevant factors. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in the Production Bonus Plan, which provides opportunities to earn additional compensation based on performance metrics. Bonus eligibility is subject to meeting certain production goals and other criteria as outlined.
