Job summary

AGI Hi Roller is seeking a Powder Coat Technician to support our production team in Sioux Falls, SD. You will prepare and inspect powder paints, apply coatings, and operate the coating booth while ensuring quality and efficiency.

You will collaborate with maintenance and production to troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, and help ensure compliance with waste treatment and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of powder coating experience and maintaining coating equipment.
• Ability to read manufacturing specifications and understand basic mechanical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and inspect powder paints for proper application on product and components.
• Apply powder per manufacturing specifications (booth & gun settings and/or adjustments).
• Follow all principles and practices of powder coat applications per standards to ensure high-quality output.
• Operate and maintain powder-coating booth system and monitor gauges and equipment to detect defects.
• Identify and address defects or inconsistencies in the powder finish with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
• Perform regular and preventative maintenance on the powder-coating system, including cleaning and calibration.
