AGI - Ag Growth International in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Powder Coat Technician to support the production line and ensure high-quality powder-coated parts. You will work with the powder coat operators and maintenance team to optimize booth settings, perform routine maintenance, and uphold safety and environmental standards.

The role requires 1-2 years of powder coating experience, ability to troubleshoot, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years powder coat experience and knowledge of maintaining powder-coating equipment.
• Ability to understand basic mechanical and manufacturing techniques.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and waste treatment practices.
• Must distinguish colors due to color inspection.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to operate a computer.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and inspect powder paints for application.
• Set booth and gun parameters per specifications.
• Follow coating standards to ensure efficient, high-quality results.
• Operate and maintain powder-coating booth system and observe gauges.
• Identify and address defects with cross-functional teams for improvements.
• Perform regular and preventative maintenance on the coating system.
• Coordinate with maintenance for mechanical/electrical issues.
• Coordinate vendor visits for coating line equipment.
