Job summary

G&W Electric Co is seeking a Powder Coat Operator in Bolingbrook, IL to load and unload parts, prepare components for coating, and operate coating equipment. You will ensure process adherence to quality standards while maintaining a safe, efficient workflow in a medium to heavy manufacturing setting.

You will perform cleaning, electro chemical processes, and curing steps, while communicating clearly with team members.

Qualifications

• Must read drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Basic computer skills required for tracking processes and records.
• Must be able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with team coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently without constant supervision.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts onto fixtures.
• Prepare parts for coating, including electro chemical cleaning as required.
• Follow powder coating application principles and procedures.
• Operate coating equipment (guns, hoppers, booth systems).
• Observe gauges and inspect for coating defects.
• Bake/cure parts to specification within time limits.
• Ensure quality and pass parts to next operation.
