Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking a Powder Coat Operator to load/unload parts, prepare them for coating, and operate coating equipment for quality finishes. You will bake/cure parts and maintain equipment while documenting production data and ensuring a safe, efficient work environment.

The role requires reading drawings, basic computer skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Prior painting or powder coating experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and Bills of Material.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate instructions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts onto fixtures.
• Prepare parts including electrochemical cleaning for coating.
• Follow powder coating application practices; operate guns, hoppers, and booth systems.
• Perform visual inspections to ensure coating quality.
• Bake/cure parts at appropriate temperatures within time limits.
• Maintain clean, safe working environment and proper equipment maintenance.
• Document production and quality data; train others as needed.
