Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking a Powder Coat Operator to prepare, coat, cure, and finish components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Bolingbrook, IL. You will load fixtures, prepare parts, operate guns and booth systems, and monitor gauges to ensure quality while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, ability to read drawings, basic computer skills, and good communication. Experience in powder coating or painting is a plus.

Qualifications

• Holds a High School diploma or GED.
• Able to read and interpret job instructions including drawings/BOMs.
• Able to read and understand English written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts onto fixtures.
• Prepare parts for coating including electrochemical cleaning as required.
• Follow powder coating practices and operate guns, hoppers and booth systems.
• Observe gauges and equipment operation to detect defects.
• Bake/cure parts at required temperatures and times.
• Document actions on production/quality forms.
• Maintain clean, safe working environment.
