Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking a Powder Coat Operator for first shift in Duncan, OK. You will prepare, coat, and finish metal surfaces, operating a Graco system to apply industrial finishes. Candidates should have powder coat experience and the ability to read blueprints and inspect finishes for quality.

You will perform daily maintenance, assist in housekeeping, and work as part of a team to meet production and safety standards. Benefits are included as described in the posting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of Powder Coat experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches.
• Knowledge to apply coating principles; identify issues like fisheye, poor adhesion, rough coatings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, mask, coat, and finish metal surfaces.
• Operate Graco spray system to apply industrial finishes.
• Inspect painted units for runs, debris, fisheye, and uncoated areas; ensure consistency.
• Inspect and replace components on paint guns for optimal performance.
• Perform daily checks and routine maintenance; assist in 5S and cleaning procedures.
