Wabtec Corporation is seeking a Prep Technician to support powder coating operations in our Kentucky facility. The role emphasizes preparation, coating and inspection of metal parts, using Graco spray systems and measurement tools.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year in powder coating, a high school diploma or GED, and strong teamwork and communication skills. The position includes day shift hours and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifikationen

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 1+ years of Powder Coat experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Must possess the knowledge to apply coating principles and practices and identify common defects.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
• Must be able to use tools and equipment for coating operations in an industrial setting.
• Strong listening and communication skills; able to work well in a team.

Aufgaben

• Prep, mask, coat, and finish metal surfaces.
• Operate Graco spray system to apply industrial paint finishes.
• Inspect coated units for runs, debris, fisheyes, and coating uniformity.
• Maintain paint booth and replace gun components for optimal performance.
• Assist in 5S, cleaning procedures and daily equipment checks.
