Job summary

Symrise Elyria is hiring an Industrialization & Process Innovation Engineer to lead product scale-up from New Product Introduction (NPI) through commercialization and to serve as the SME for powder blending technology. The role emphasizes collaboration across production, R&T, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years in a food manufacturing setting, with a track record in continuous improvement and strong leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Chemistry/Chemical Eng/Food Science)
• Minimum 3 years in a food manufacturing environment
• Experience with powder blending technologies preferred
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills
• Proficiency with MS Office and cross-functional collaboration
• Lean/Six Sigma experience a plus
• Experience with product scale-up and NPI workflows

Responsibilities

• Lead product scale-up from NPD to commercialization within F&B at Symrise Elyria
• Serve as SME for powder blending technology and related processes
• Provide accurate mixing instructions to production and train operators
• Be on-site daily to support production and resolve issues
• Collaborate with R&T, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Sales
• Conduct process qualifications and validation for new equipment/processes
• Promote Product Quality culture and First Time Right in production
• Support continuous improvement to increase profitability
