Job summary

Ralliant is seeking a Chemical Operations Technician (Powder Blending) in Hollister, CA to safely handle explosive powders and propellants and support production operations. The role emphasizes rigorous adherence to safety procedures, accurate logging, and cross‑functional teamwork across manufacturing lines.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2+ years’ experience with explosives, strong documentation skills, and the ability to perform basic arithmetic and manage multiple formulations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years demonstrated experience in safe handling of a variety of explosive materials.
• Willing to work with bulk quantities of explosives.
• Read and understand written instructions.
• Interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Complete documentation with a high level of accuracy.
• Prioritize tasks and manage several formulations simultaneously.
• Perform arithmetic calculations such as percentages, addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.
• 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strict adherence to Safety SOPs and 5S and logging procedures.
• Maintain accurate material movement documentation and inventory logs.
• Assist with interdepartmental material transport and delivery to production.
• Clean facility, equipment, vehicles and containers per SOPs.
• Handle and process explosive materials and wastes.
• Support Powder Blending group activities including inventory and site clean‑up.
• Assist in updating process documentation and participate in daily management meetings.
