Job summary

TYSON FOODS in Forest, MS is hiring a Scaler Labor team member to accurately weigh poultry products, print and apply product labels, and record weights in production logs. You will support efficient line operations and help maintain quality and food safety standards.

Responsibilities include monitoring scale operation, ensuring correct labeling, and assisting with packaging and other production tasks. This role requires physical stamina for a fast-paced poultry plant.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a cold environment.
• Experience in a fast-paced production setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Weigh boxes or containers of poultry products using approved scale equipment.
• Accurately record product weights and production information on required documentation and manifests.
• Print and apply labels to product containers according to customer and company specifications.
• Verify product counts, weights, and labeling accuracy.
• Monitor scale operation and report any equipment issues to supervision.
• Maintain production flow by ensuring products are weighed and documented in a timely manner.
• Follow all Tyson Food Safety, Quality Assurance, Animal Welfare, and Workplace Safety policies.
• Keep work areas clean and sanitary following GMPs.
• Assist with product handling, packaging, and other production duties as assigned.
• Perform job rotation and cross-training assignments as needed to support operations.
