Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Training Associate to onboard new hires, deliver skill-building sessions, and provide refresher training to hourly staff in a poultry processing facility.

The role may involve training on the production floor, backfilling for breaks, and collaborating with management to update training materials and schedules. Commitment to safety and proper PPE is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year poultry processing experience; training experience preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of GMP, USDA, OSHA, etc.
• Excellent presentation skills with ability to present ideas clearly and professionally.
• Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) to all levels; multilingual preferred.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn, understand and train all department production job duties in compliance with policies, procedures, and legal requirements (e.g. SSOP, GMP, USDA, OSHA).
• Introduce employees to their assigned jobs with skill/technique training, rotation procedures, safe work habits, and clock in/out procedures; ensure adequate practice.
• Observe trainees and report readiness or need for additional training to leadership or HR.
• Work on production line or relieve line employees for breaks when not training.
• Coordinate development, review and maintenance of training materials, teaching techniques and schedules with management.
• Schedule classes, organize logistics and training venues, and maintain training equipment.
