Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. in Lafayette, Tennessee, is seeking a sanitation associate for the 1st shift.

The role involves cleaning, foaming, sanitizing pull rooms and related areas in a biosecure poultry facility, with mandatory PPE and strict biosecurity guidelines. You will follow a Sunday-Thursday schedule (effective January 3, 2027) with core hours from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, up to 40 hours per week, and may work holidays based on production needs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds at times.
• Willing to work in a biosecure environment and adhere to PPE, biosecurity, and safety guidelines.
• Ability to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments and on wet/slippery surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Washes and sanitizes pull room using a pressure washer and water hose.
• Wash and clean chick boxes.
• Washes and sanitizes tray wash room using pressure washer and water hose.
• Washes and sanitizes dirty and clean box rooms using pressure washer and water hose.
• Other duties as assigned, including maintaining foot bath in pull room.
