Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. seeks a sanitation worker to clean and sanitize production equipment and areas to meet food safety and company standards.

Responsibilities include dry pick-up of inedible materials, cleaning with high-pressure hoses, handling sanitizing chemicals, and following USDA, HACCP and GMP policies. PPE must be worn and safety procedures followed. Weekend and overtime work may be required. Physical work includes standing 8–10 hours and lifting up to 50 lbs in wet, cold environments.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work with cleaning chemicals, including caustics.
• Must be willing to work in elevated areas and around electrical equipment as needed.
• Must be willing and able to work weekends and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment and areas to ensure compliance with food safety and company standards.
• Perform dry pick-up of inedible materials from equipment and floors.
• Clean equipment using high-pressure hoses.
• Handle and mix approved sanitation chemicals per procedures.
• Follow USDA, HACCP, and GMP policies; wear PPE and follow safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
