Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to read simple words and numbers.
• Pass color deficiency test and certification program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Sorts diseased or defective birds as required.
• Identify diseases/defects per Poultry Product Inspection Act.
• Decide whether to salvage or discard birds.
• Record numbers of discarded/salvaged birds in the computer.
• Perform additional production tasks as assigned; safety sensitive role.
