Job summary

Bachoco Group is seeking a Production Worker for the Heavener, OK facility on the 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 5:30 AM–2:30 PM). This role involves sorting diseased or defective birds and performing standard production tasks under supervision.

The position requires ability to identify diseases per inspection acts, data entry on birds salvaged or discarded, and completion of required certifications. Safety and quality are paramount in daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination.
• Ability to read a limited number of words and numbers; print and speak simple sentences.
• No math skills needed.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions; handle basic problems.
• Must pass the color deficiency test.
• Must complete certification program and training satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Identify animal diseases and defects as regulated by the Poultry Product Inspection Act.
• Determine whether to throw away or salvage birds.
• Discard cadavers or badly bruised birds.
• Mark parts to be trimmed in Evisceration.
• Trim off bad sections of the birds.
• Enter information into the computer regarding birds thrown away or salvaged.
• Perform various production labor duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• This is a safety sensitive position.
