Job summary

Qualifications

• NPIS certificate preferred or ability to pass NPIS test.
• Ability to visually inspect chicken and remove birds not meeting criteria.
• Knowledge of chicken defects/diseases and maintaining bird quality.
• Understand food safety guidelines to ensure USDA compliance.
• Report on time and work required hours including overtime and weekends.
• Ability to stand 8–10 hours on concrete/metal grading and use tools safely.
• Rotate through Evisceration line and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sort livers and gizzards and trim carcasses with a knife.
• Stand 8–10 hours on concrete/metal grate floor.
• Follow the Animal Welfare Program guidelines and procedures.
• Rotate through positions on the Evisceration line.
• Report regularly and on time; adhere to safety standards.
