Aviagen in the United States is seeking candidates for a 12-week trainee program designed to build a foundation in poultry breeding and company operations. Trainees will receive hands-on training across multiple departments within our production complexes.

Participants will learn from experienced staff, report on progress, and gain exposure to operations, management perspectives, and company policies to prepare for future leadership roles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required or highly valued.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills are essential.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of staff across the company.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint will aid in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a 12-week trainee program across production complexes to gain knowledge of poultry breeding and operations.
  • Receive training and perform duties in several departments including Feed Mills, Hatchery, Logistics/Transportation and support functions.
  • Learn various staff functions such as operations, management perspectives and company policies affecting each phase of business.
  • Report on progress of goals and objectives.
  • Monitor performance progress with management and trainers.
  • Observe experienced workers to learn methods, procedures, and standards.
  • Train in related departments to facilitate transferability and promote opportunities.
  • Provide support in reporting, data-entry, presentation creation, strategic planning, and customer service as needed.
