Aviagen is seeking candidates for its 12-week trainee program designed to provide a strong foundation in poultry breeding and production operations. Trainees will rotate through production complexes and receive hands-on training under experienced staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• The 12 week Trainee program is designed to provide a foundation of poultry breeding that allows for future growth and development within our company.
• Receive training and perform duties in several departments across the production complex. Visits and knowledge transfer in other departments such as Feed Mills, Hatchery, Logistics/Transportation and support functions.
• Learn various staff functions, including operations, management viewpoints and company policies and practices affecting each phase of business
• Report on progress of goals and objectives
• Monitor performance progress with management and key trainers
• Observe experienced workers to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for performance of departmental duties
• Train in functions and operations of related departments to facilitate subsequent transferability between departments and provide greater promotional opportunities
• Provide support as needed in the various departments, including reporting, data-entry, presentation creation, strategic planning, and customer service as needed
