Job summary

Bell & Evans is seeking a Flock Technical Specialist to perform technical tasks related to the broiler production program, collaborating with Flock Supervisors to ensure regulatory compliance. The role focuses on certification maintenance, audits, and biosecurity across farms.

The ideal candidate will have a poultry science background and 1–2 years of industry experience, with a valid driver’s license and an eligible Poultry Technician Certificate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science, or a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • One to two years of experience in poultry production preferred.
  • Must have current driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain broiler operation GAP Certification and Organic Certification; review paperwork and attend audits as a Bell and Evans representative.
  • Maintain broiler departments NPIP blood records and coordinate the yearly NPIP audit.
  • Manage broiler manual with current SOPs and coordinate printing of new manuals.
  • Manage broiler growers' biosecurity plans, including tracking renewals and submitting to State for approval; coordinate surveillance swabbing during HPAI quarantines.
  • Maintain all animal welfare, safety and bio-security practices on all farms.
  • Other duties as assigned by Broiler Manager.
