Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC in Decatur, AL is seeking a factory/hatchery worker responsible for hanging live chickens in moving shackles and maintaining PPE in line with NCC guidelines to ensure product flow and safety compliance.

The role requires lifting up to 60 lbs, standing for long periods, and working nights, weekends, holidays and extended shifts. Training provided; prior poultry experience is a plus, but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training available for poultry handling and safety.
• Experience with working in a fast-paced hatchery environment preferred.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Hang live chickens in moving shackles in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Pick up chickens by thighs and secure feet on shackles to maintain continuous flow.
• Operate hydraulic bar and ensure proper product flow while following company policies.
• Comply with NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and federal regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
