Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is hiring for a 1st shift poultry processing role in North Carolina. The worker will hang live chickens on moving shackles while adhering to PPE requirements and NCC Animal Welfare guidelines, ensuring safety and animal welfare compliance.

The position requires standing up to 8 hours, lifting up to 60 lbs, and availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts. Prior hatchery or poultry experience and a HS diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.

Responsibilities

• Pick up chickens by their thighs, placing both feed onto moving shackles ensuring feet are securely caught.
• Control hydraulic bar with leg for continuous flow of product.
• Comply with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state and federal laws, and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
