Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in Alabama (Union Springs Plant) is seeking a Live Hanger for 1st shift. You will hang live chickens in moving shackles, follow PPE and safety rules, and work a 4:45 AM to 1:43 PM schedule. The role requires standing, lifting, and adherence to animal welfare standards.

Responsibilities include operating the hydraulic bar, loading feed, and complying with company and regulatory policies. Benefits start on day one and safety is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.

Responsibilities

• Pick up chickens by their thighs, placing both feed onto moving shackles ensuring feet are securely caught.
• Control hydraulic bar with leg for continuous flow of product.
• Comply with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state and federal laws, and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
