Job summary

Pilgrim’s in Cohutta, GA is seeking a Broiler Service Technician to support flock health, welfare, and performance across contract growers. You will provide technical guidance on biosecurity, nutrition, and bird management, ensuring adherence to PPC animal care standards.

You will monitor health data, coordinate feed orders, train growers, and prepare management reports. Requires 2–5 years of poultry experience and a BS in Poultry Science, with ability to lift 50 lbs; traditional weekday

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Poultry Science or related field preferred.
• Current driver's license with clean record.
• 2–5 years of related experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong math and analytical abilities.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between the Company and contract growers.
• Monitor flock health and welfare; provide improvement recommendations.
• Track and analyze flock data: mortality, feed, growth.
• Maintain feed inventories and coordinate feed orders.
• Ensure biosecurity and report issues; train growers and staff.
• Assist with chick placements and bird movements.
• Prepare and submit accurate reports on flock performance to management.
