Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Broiler Service Technician in Georgia to support flock health, welfare, and performance aligned with PPC standards. You’ll guide growers, implement bird-management best practices, and uphold biosecurity and nutrition protocols while coordinating with live production management.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science or similar, plus 2–5 years of related experience, strong communication, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Poultry Science or similar field preferred.
• Experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Current driver's license and good driving record.
• 2-5 years of directly related experience preferred.
• Strong math and analytical abilities for problem-solving and decision-making.
• Reliable and ethical, with a strong work ethic and punctuality.
• Team-oriented and self-motivated, able to thrive in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between the Company and contract growers, ensuring strong communication and support.
• Monitor flock health and husbandry practices, providing recommendations to improve bird welfare and performance.
• Track, record, and analyze flock data, including mortality rates, feed consumption, and growth trends.
• Maintain feed inventories and coordinate feed orders to ensure timely and accurate supply.
• Ensure compliance with biosecurity and company protocols, conducting regular farm inspections and reporting issues.
• Provide technical guidance and training to growers and staff, supporting best practices and operational efficiency.
• Assist with chick placements and bird movements, ensuring proper handling and scheduling according to company standards.
• Prepare and submit accurate reports on flock performance, feed usage, and farm conditions to management for review.
• Other duties as assigned.
