Job summary

Pilgrim’s is hiring a Broiler Service Technician in Gainesville, GA to support flock health, welfare, and performance. You will work with contract growers, provide technical guidance, and ensure adherence to biosecurity and production standards.

The role requires 2–5 years of experience, a BS in Poultry Science (or related field), and the ability to lift 50 lbs. A strong focus on communication, teamwork, and problem solving is essential. Regular reporting and training duties are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Education: BS in Poultry Science or similar field preferred; experience may substitute.
• Certifications: Driver's license and clean driving record.
• Experience: 2–5 years in related role preferred.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary liaison between Pilgrim’s and contract growers.
• Monitor flock health and welfare; provide recommendations to improve performance.
• Track and analyze flock data: mortality, feed, growth trends.
• Maintain feed inventories and coordinate orders.
• Ensure biosecurity and company protocols; perform regular farm inspections.
• Provide training to growers and staff on best practices.
• Assist with chick placements and bird movements per standards.
• Prepare reports on flock performance and farm conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.
