Job summary

Select Genetics in North Carolina is seeking a Serviceman to assist in day-to-day operations across multiple turkey production farms. The role emphasizes safety, cost-efficiency, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

You will supervise wash and disinfect procedures, enforce biosecurity and animal welfare standards, manage schedules, review activity reports with the Breeder Manager, and help train and mentor farm staff. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Must have NC driver's license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of animal husbandry and welfare preferred.
• Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and withstand extended hours including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operations of multiple farms in a safe, cost-effective manner.
• Supervise washing and disinfecting turkey production facilities.
• Enforce biosecurity, animal welfare, and safety regulations.
• Lead, train, and mentor farm staff to build a high-performing team.
• Prepare and review activity reports with Breeder Manager; adjust plans as needed.
• Work weekends occasionally and be willing to help in any area to get the job done.
