Job summary

Crown Farms (part of Cranswick Plc) is recruiting a Farm Assistant to work on a breeder farm near North Walsham. The role involves collecting eggs, maintaining bird welfare and recording on-farm data, with a 45-hour week over six days.

Candidates should be able to perform manual duties, hold a valid UK driving license with access to a car, and be a team player who is flexible and self-driven. Salary is £29,741 gross per annum and probation applies.

Hours/Days: 45 Hours over 6 days a week

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

• Collecting Eggs
• Ensuring bird welfare is up to highest standards
• Recording of on farm data
• Maintaining safe working practices & a high level of site and personal biosecurity
  standards.
• Effectively communicating with the Farm Manager and Area Manager and all other
  staff.
• Facilitating the smooth running of the farm

Requirements, Experience and Person Specification:

• Experience of working on poultry units is beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to carry out manual duties.
• Valid UK driving license and access to a car
• To be a team-player, flexible and self-driven

Salary: £29,741 gross per annum, increasing after successful probation completion.
