Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Business Manager to support the Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF) program, providing operational, financial, administrative, and stakeholder-management support for integrated human performance services that sustain SOF mission readiness. U.S.

citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required or eligible. The role involves coordinating across physical, psychological, cognitive, social, family, and spiritual performance domains, with a path to contract award

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Minimum of five years in program management, contract administration, or related function in defense/government.
• Budgeting, financial oversight, resource planning, procurement, and cost control experience.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and planning artifacts.
• Oversee and manage large multi-project programs including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities.
• Create and execute project work plans and revise as needed.
• Identify resources needed and assign responsibilities.
• Develop and maintain a master/resource plan and required documents for projects.
• Baseline all projects and capture actual metrics for historical metrics and LoE forecasting.
• Review deliverables before management and customers.
• Apply PMI methodologies and enforce project standards.
• Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance.
• Minimize risk exposure on projects.
• Communicate relevant project information to management, stakeholders, and customers.
• Resolve escalations with consideration of impact on the project.
• Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
• Track lessons learned for future projects.
• Ensure all projects are closed out properly.
• Supervise staff with direction and performance feedback.
• Serve as escalation point to prioritize workloads and resolve issues.
• Liaise with vendors, monitor performance/SLA, and support process changes.
• Draft vendor contracts, addendums, SOWs, RFPs/RFIs, change requests, and requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement teams.
• Oversee day-to-day business ops for POTFF program/site and ensure alignment with contract requirements.
