Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a creative, results-oriented breeding technician to execute breeding activities primarily across potatoes and oat at our Rhinelander, WI facility. You will assist breeding programs, lead projects, and work with on-site breeders to drive improvement of raw agricultural materials for PepsiCo

The role requires data collection, meticulous record-keeping, and collaboration in greenhouse, growth chamber, and field environments, with occasional travel to off-site locations.

Qualifications

• BS preferred in Plant Breeding, Horticulture, Agronomy, Biological Systems Engineering, Biology, or related discipline.
• Experience in an active breeding/genetics program, agriculture, leadership, data analysis, or inventory tracking is preferred.
• Attention to details and accurate record keeping.
• Ability to organize projects, lead teams, motivate people, and drive for results.

Responsibilities

• Assist breeding programs and lead projects at Rhinelander facility.
• Conduct breeding operations in greenhouses, growth chambers, fields, and phenotyping spaces.
• Collaborate with breeders and remote teams to meet program objectives.
• Maintain accurate data and inputs into company databases.
