Job summary

GFT in New York is seeking a Water Treatment Process Engineer to lead and support design for potable water facilities, evaluate existing processes, and assist with permitting and construction activities.

The role requires a BS in Civil/Environmental/Chemical Engineering (MS preferred), PE license (or ability to obtain in 6–12 months), and 6+ years in water treatment. Occasional travel and hybrid work are expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering (MS is preferred).
• PE license required or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
• 6+ years in water treatment, planning or process evaluation for potable facilities.
• Knowledge of standard engineering techniques/procedures.
• Strong understanding of water treatment chemistry and processes; hydraulics and chemical feed systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support design of potable water treatment; evaluate existing processes; plan improvements; support permitting and construction.
• Conduct site visits, treatment studies, and develop process recommendations; prepare reports and design documents.
