Job summary

GFT is seeking a Water Treatment Design Engineer to join our Water team, with a hybrid work model requiring presence at one of our offices in Florida. The role involves leading design and optimization of water treatment systems and pumping stations, incorporating advanced filtration and disinfection technologies, while ensuring regulatory compliance and project execution.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering; MS preferred.
• PE license required or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
• 8+ years of experience in water discipline, especially as a water engineer designing treatment/pumping projects.
• Strong foundation in standard engineering techniques and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of water treatment plants and pumping stations with detailed CAD drawings.
• Optimize treatment processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Perform hydraulic analysis of plants, pumps, and piping; select pumps.
