Job summary

Tenet-AZ Region in Goodyear, Arizona is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post Partum specialty. Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit, coordinates care planning with other disciplines, and directs bedside nursing care using the nursing process to meet patient needs.

The role includes assessing patient needs at admission and ongoing, determining nursing diagnoses, implementing orders, and guiding patients and families toward achievable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school.
• ARIZONA RN license; CPR; ACLS as applicable by Facility/by Department.
• L&D: Advanced Fetal Monitoring or obtain within six months of hire.
• Two years of current Level III NICU experience including neonatal ventilator.
• NRP required or must obtain within orientation.
• ACLS/PALS/ENPC as required by department.
• Wound/Ostomy certification or training.
• Bariatrics certification/training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care within an assigned unit.
• Coordinate care planning with other disciplines.
• Supervise/delegate to other healthcare staff as needed for patient care.
• Assess patient needs on admission and ongoing.
• Determine nursing diagnosis based on assessment data.
• Set realistic, patient-focused outcome goals.
• Implement orders and ensure appropriateness to current status.
• Participate in hourly rounding and ensure safety.
