Job summary

Tenet-AZ Region in Avondale, AZ is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced obstetric unit. The RN will coordinate care plans, supervise teammates, and perform essential nursing duties with patient safety as a priority.

The role requires a nursing degree, AZ RN license, and ACLS/PALS as applicable, with advanced fetal monitoring knowledge preferred. On-site staffing and regular shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited nursing program required.
• BSN preferred for advancement responsibilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
• Ability to operate basic computer systems and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care on an assigned unit using the nursing process.
• Coordinate care planning with other disciplines and supervise staff as needed.
• Perform hourly rounding and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Assess patient needs, discharge planning, and family education as appropriate.
• Adapt care plans to patient status and hospital policies.
