Job summary

Banner Health in Tucson, AZ is seeking an RN in the Antepartum/Postpartum unit to provide direct nursing care, assessments, and education for moms and babies. The role includes weekend shifts, with a flat weekend differential and a night shift premium.

Banner’s maternity services are comprehensive, with a focus on high-quality patient experiences. Ideal candidates have postpartum or L&D experience and RN licensure.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice or compact licensure.
• Experience in postpartum or labor and delivery preferred.
• Weekend and holiday rotation required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and document nursing care for postpartum patients.
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient/family education.
• Provide direct patient care per physician orders and nursing plan of care.
• Communicate effectively with the health care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in professional leadership and mentoring as appropriate.
