Job summary

Banner Health in Gilbert, Arizona is seeking a registered nurse for our Labor and Delivery unit. This full-time night shift role offers an 18% night differential and a flat $3/hour weekend differential, with opportunities to care for women during childbirth in a Magnet-designated facility.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in shared leadership to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan care across physical, emotional and developmental factors.
• Formulate and update a patient care plan in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Implement and coordinate care, delegating tasks as appropriate.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust the care plan as needed.
• Document care accurately in the patient record and communicate with the team.
• Participate in unit leadership and mentoring of staff.
• Contribute to quality improvement and nursing standards.
• Interact with patients, families and colleagues to ensure high-quality care.
• Support magnet designation by upholding nursing excellence.
