Job summary

Valley Presbyterian Hospital seeks an experienced Clinical Supervisor I, Postpartum, to provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for the postpartum unit. The role partners with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to promote safe, high-quality, patient-centered care and staff engagement.

You will lead shift huddles, mentor nursing staff, and ensure efficient patient flow, while upholding the hospital's mission and standards of care.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of acute care RN experience.
• BSN required.
• California RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight during assigned shifts.
• Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff while serving as a clinical resource.
• Coordinate patient care activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care delivery.
• Manage staffing assignments, scheduling, and patient throughput based on census and acuity.
• Facilitate timely admissions, transfers, and discharges to optimize patient flow.
• Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional teams to improve outcomes.
• Promote evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure regulatory and documentation compliance.
