Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Postoperative Care/Trauma Unit. The 45-bed unit cares for postoperative and trauma patients with a focus on safe, high-quality outcomes.

You will collaborate with the health care team to deliver patient-centered care and ensure a therapeutic environment. The role requires an RN licensed in Florida, an Associate degree at minimum, and BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
• Two years of RN experience is preferred.
• Licensed RN in Florida.
• BLS/CPR certification required per AHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Postoperative Care/Trauma Unit.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to coordinate and delegate care.
• Maintain safe, clean environment and document care per protocol.
• Mentor and supervise junior staff and patient care techs as needed.
• Uphold patient rights, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Apply evidenced-based practice and health IT to relieve pain and anxiety.
